MAINTENANCE OF CEMENT TOPS

A cement artefact should be treated in the same way as a natural stone or marble artefact. We recommend not using: abrasive sponges, corrosive detergents, limescale, bleach (if in solution > 10%), ammonia (if in solution > 10%), vinegar or abrasive pastes. For normal maintenance, like removing dust and dry residue, use a soft cloth. For the most difficult dry dirt (dust that has penetrated into the pores), clean the surface with a solution of water and neutral detergent with a low wax content (e.g. products for marble floors). For persistent stains, solutions containing ammonia/bleach diluted at 10% can be used, i.e. 1 part bleach in 10 parts of water. It is recommended to use a compact/spongy cloth, slightly dampened with the cleaning product, without exerting excessive pressure. Given the type of treatment, it is important to remove stains as soon as possible, as described above.

Vincent Van Duysen was born in 1962, in Lokeren, Belgium and graduated in architecture at the Higher Institute of Architecture Sint-Lucas, in Ghent. From 1986 to 1989 he worked in Milan and Brussels. He opened his own studio in Antwerp, in 1990 focusing on architecture and interior design. The relationship between interior design and architecture in his work is profound. Furnishings and accessories are designed with an architectural perspective that is not limited by form, but is expressed with a careful perception of interior space and its relationship to the exterior architecture. By interpreting architecture and redefining its proportions, Van Duysen creates objects of great purity and simplicity that still retain a concrete character and solid form.

Louisa | Coffee Table

Design Vincent Van Duysen

The Louisa collection by Vincent Van Duysen features coffee tables that are irresistibly tactile. This small variation is ideal for intimate gatherings. An innovative construction of joining slabs allows for a tray-like suspension from a conical central plinth. Eucalyptus wood and cement form a symbiotic relationship of solidity and beauty.
